Who is responsible for your data

For the data you give when you book on this website, the controller is the agency: Plaza Rent a Car, of Tariq Center, Al Shareef Abd Al Hameed Sharaf St, Amman. YorDrive, which supplies the software behind this website, processes that data on the agency's behalf. YorDrive is also a controller in its own right, but only for the few purposes of its own that are listed below.

The data we handle

• Your name and your phone number.
• The details of your bookings: the car, the dates, the places and the drivers you name.
• The code messages we send to confirm your phone number, and a record of whether the code was entered correctly.
• Technical data needed to keep the website secure, such as the address your connection comes from.

Why we use it

• To confirm that the phone number is yours.
• To make, manage and carry out your booking, and to contact you about it.
• To take payment and to keep the records the law requires.
• To keep the website safe and to prevent fraud and abuse.

What YorDrive does for its own purposes

YorDrive decides for itself how it uses data for these purposes only: checking whether a booking came through its marketplace; preventing fraud and abuse, including a check that the visitor is a person and not a program; collecting payment where it collects it for the agency; keeping security and audit logs; and billing the agency for its use of the software. For everything else it acts only on the agency's instructions.

Who receives the data

The data is shared only with the providers that the agency or YorDrive needs in order to run the service. By category they are: providers of text and WhatsApp messages, the hosting provider, the provider of bot protection and network delivery, the email provider, and the payment service where you pay online. They may use the data only to provide their service.

How long we keep it

The agency keeps the data of your bookings for as long as its own retention rules and the law require. Ask the agency for them. YorDrive keeps its own security and billing records for as long as those purposes and the law require.

Your rights and who to ask
